We returned to Hendricks again this
year for their pre-4th Firemen's Dance and are always
impressed by the incredible Hendricks Hospitality.
We've played this dance for the past few years and
just love that they have made it fun for the whole
family. There's a whopper feed right before the
dance and that often means the kids get to hang out
for awhile early in the night.
The wonderful thing about kids dancing is that they
are such honest critics.
When kids are dancing, they are sincerely having fun.
And even tho they never get to stay
very late...
...their fun is contagious and they
are the best recruiters of the grown-up dancers...
...so before you know it, they've
got the whole crowd joining in! We love that!
It's been our pleasure entertaining the Hendricks
folks for the past few years. It may be that our
legacy here, if any, is that the first year we played
this show it was raining cats and dogs and rather than
call it
on-account-of-rain, a trailer was pulled inside the
Firehouse and it's been an "indoor street dance" (rain
or shine) ever since. Yep, dependable, just like
the city's fine Fire Crew.
