Mike Smith plays the solid rhythm guitar that lays the foundation for Probable Cause, while his expressive vocals add the finishing touch to an extensive catalog of songs, including originals ranging from the emotional ballad "When My Dad Called Me Son", to his jamming, hair-band tribute, "Turn It Up."

Arlington Street Dance

Mike's uncanny ability to conjure up the

words to just about a million songs, perfectly compliments riff-masters, John & John-john, and sometimes drives Sheila a little crazy, so hang on when the boys get that wild-eyed look and remind the crowd

"We... take... all... requests".  It doesn't matter if PC gets a "wow" or just a big 'ol belly laugh, Mike's always a trooper and has winged everything from "Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog" to "Mr. Roboto".  Heck, he even got a $60 tip once for his best Tanya Tucker impersonation of "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane".  Come on out to a show and try your hand at "stump the band".  With Mike's quick wit and comedic banter, you never know what he'll pull out of his hat, but we promise you'll be entertained.

Mike grew up in Arlington, South Dakota, raised in the footlights of his dad's regional show band.  The youngest of three children, (yep, baby brother to the chicks in the band) entertainment has always been second nature to Mike and he'll charm you from the first note right up to last call.

And now for something completely different...

Did you know?...Mike holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do & a

     trophy from the Olympics?

Mike's top ten list includes Mountain Dew, Duct Tape, Chuckie

Cheese & Bacon... not in that order & not simultaneously & we

can't tell you the other six or we would have to have you

     deported.

Thought for the day...Measure once, cut once, and you get to go

back to Home Depot.  Rrrrrr.  Rrrrrr.  Rrrrrr

People are always amazed at how Mike can easily go from the lowest Johnny Cash song, right into a chord-ripping Bon Jovi tune.  And when he's not singing lead vocals, that wide-open range makes for some incredible harmonies.

A passion of Mike's is rock climbing, so it's no wonder we have footprints on top of every speaker in the trailer.  Note:  We welcome spotters when he goes into the crane move from Karate Kid while dancing atop the subs.

Mike currently resides in Lake Benton, Minnesota and when he's not picking and singing, he enjoys his position as an Advertising Account Manager for a regional TV/Communications Company.
